  1. Hello, I'm using data merge with pictures frames, and images are correctly "merged". However the issue I have is that whenever I scale manually a picture frame, after merging the scaling is gone. If I set 40%, it goes back to 100% after merge. I'm not scaling the preview picture, but the picture frame. I've put an example with 2 images: before and after (and in red what I'm using to rescale). Is it a bug, or does scaling not compatible with data merge ? I know that using the "properties" of a picture frame, I can find ways to rescale automatically. And I could "cheat" to get the result I want by using the properties of the picture frame + actually changing the size of the picture frame (instead of changing the scaling). One of the issues with that method is that for instance, in the case of a picture with a lot of blank around, this method would force me to make the picture frame abnormally large (to compensate so that I get the correct size I want for the actual content of the picture), which would make pictures frames overlap with other stuff visually in the layout and not be practical at all (even though the result would be correct). Also bonus question: there was an official tutorial video for Affinity Publisher/data merge on youtube (there https://www.youtube.com/@AffinityPublisher/playlists ), but apparently it has been deleted ? Is it because the data merge is about to be changed/removed ?
  2. Those are great and relevant suggestions Data merge is incredible, and saves so much time. But I've been facing the same kind of situations while creating cards sheets, that those suggestions from Fabricio would solve, and make data merge even better. Sometimes you want the same structure but with a slight visual difference, like a color of some object that changes depending on the line of the source data. Being able to put fields (for merge) for other things than frame text/image would be awesome. For instance puting a merge field inside the box for hex color of a given layer. Currently you would have to create different masters to do such a thing. Making master selection variable could also be a way to "solve" some of those situations. Being able to add inline images inside text with data merge would be awesome. Maybe using the symbols system somehow ? Along some basic formatting tags.
