  1. I hope this helps. I guess the long and short of it is don't ever use a brush setting if you don't need to. Since there is no way to remove those effects, if you try to ever use pressure again or solid line style they will not function correctly. Also expand stroke will not work unless you mess with the variance in the brush settings which doesn't make much sense to me. untitled 2.afdesign
  2. Thanks for the tip, that helped and got it to where i can expand the stroke and essentially do what I wanted. It doesn't seem to work the same way as if you did it without selecting a brush first. If you apply your method to the bottom right image and set the stroke width to match the left image then overlay them, while similar they are very different looking so I'm guessing there are still some brush settings being applied to the stroke even though we have selected solid line style. It would be nice if there was a button to reset the brush/stroke settings all together since selecting solid line style doesn't revert it back.
  3. Yeah I wish I had known that earlier. I have a design I'll have to completely redraw. I used an engraving brush to get the same look but found out I could do the same just using the pressure settings on a solid line style instead. Seems like a bug for sure.
  4. That's fine, but how do you remove the applied brush settings to your curve after you apply one. No matter what after I apply one then switch back to the solid line style I cannot expand the stroke nor use the pressure settings anymore to taper the start and end points.
  5. I'm not having any luck with a pen tool applied as the brush but here is a example I made. untitled.afdesign
  6. Here is my example it's a simplified version of my project but in my project I used brush strokes for many curves and found out later that I can do the same effect with better more accurate settings just by changing the pressure settings. Doing it this way allows me to expand the stroke once I'm done. The problem I'm having is I already have all the strokes and don't want to rework everything and when I switch them to the solid line style the pressure curve no longer works nor expand stroke. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks untitled.afdesign
  7. Didn't work for me. I still cannot expand stroke. It seems the brush effect is stuck on my curve and won't expand even after switching it to a normal line. Any Tips?
