  1. Intermittently the adjustment layer mask does not appear when using the brightness adjustment layer. Restarting affinity photo, it then seems to work.
  2. I think I may have figured it out. When going back into the Develop Persona to edit the brushes, the program will select the top most visible layer. It will not use the selected layer, very odd. Also if I make a change to the image in Photo Persona and then go to the Develop Persona that change is still there. Then you can add more brush overlay paint items. So changes can be passed between both Photo and Develop personas so I cannot see why the brush should disappear once working on the image. Regards Steve
  3. Hi, First let me say thank you for trying to help me out with this. Let me try to explain what I am trying to. If I have an image like the one below in the Develop Persona, I've added two overlay brushes (on flag and eyes). If I then switch to the Photo Persona and try to clone out the line to the right of the character the program will raster the image, unless you can clone with layers somehow?. This means that if I decide I made the adjustment too strong in the the Develop Persona I cannot go back and alter them. As a way to try and keep the adjustment brushes, when in the Photo Persona I duplicated the layer, I made no other change. The original layer has a red arrow next to it. If I have the new layer selected and go back to the Develop Persona I can then alter the exposure on the brushes, as shown the eyes and flag are darker now. If however I select the original layer pointed to by the red arrow, then go to the Develop Persona the adjustment brushes are still shown in the overlay panel but they don't seem to do anything.. Currently it would seem that you have to get everything perfect in the Develop Persona first and then continue working on the image. I was just trying to find a way to preserve the Brush overlay in case I didn't like it. I can imagine that if you have multiple adjustments and want to change one it would be a pain to start again. Regards Steve
  4. It looks like the Adjustment is copied from the original image to the duplicate, this adjustment then affects both images. The original image overlay details don't seem to do anything.
  5. I've probably missed something.. But I could not see how to do that with the healing brush. Also I've tried creating a duplicate of the layer with overlays (brush with exposure altered), with out doing anything with it so it should not be a raster. Going back to the Develop Persona to alter things in the overlay panel. While both the images - the original and duplicate show brush items in the overlay panel - only one of then changes when selecting the overlay brush and altering the settings. The other while being able to change the settings has no effect.
  6. I guess I expected the overlay information to be preserved so if I needed to go back and forth to alter the any adjustments I had made I could do so. Yes I would have to redo the inPainting.
  7. Hi It appears that if you add an adjustment in the Develop Persona, then go to the Photo Persona, and make a change such as using the healing brush (the image is changed to a raster image). Going back to the Develop Persona the adjustment no longer shows in the overlay list, Is this by design? Regards Steve
  8. Although it appears that once in the Photo Persona, and then making a change wipes out the adjustments done in the Develop Persona. The adjustment no longer shows in the overlay list, Is this by design?
  9. I think I may have just found my answer in this video using overlays.
  10. Hi Is it possible to make multiple adjustments (Overlay Paint Tool) in the Develop Persona, then re-edit the first adjustment? Or create an adjustment then go to the Photo Persona, then go back to the Develop Persona and edit the brush? If not, are there any plans to introduce this? Regards Steve
  11. As you can see, there is a huge difference between having the layers in the window and merging them. This also happens when when exporting the images. Something is very wrong here.
  12. In fact just to show the point, I exaggerated the first image. The merged the layers.
  13. Layers in the image Image show with these layers, note the brightness of the eye. Image after merging or exporting. The layers don't appear to have been applied correctly
  14. When using the unsharp mask the preview and finished image have a different result. It's like the preview has a stronger effect, once apply is clicked you can see the image reduce in sharpness.
