  1. I have a large image which is scaled to fit over several pieces of A4 paper printed and laid side by side. So to get the different sections printed I need to break the image down, by cutting out each individual area of the image and save it as an A4 sized/ratiod image so when printed they fit together. How can I cut out the image in areas that match A4 size or specify millimatres as the unit of measurement to do so?
  2. Thanks for confirming what I thought.
  3. Hi I donwloaded a stock image to use. Vector format. Usually no issues finding the layers. But with this image, it doesn't seem to have layers to edit the text and isolate things? Am i missing something obvious please, is it the eps format? How can I save this to get at the layers please? shutterstock_1966509919.eps
  4. Thank you so much both of you. The changing "next style" to "same style" stops it flipping to "no style". What I cant work out is why on earth you'd want or need for text styles to keep changing every time you hit return. Surely if you pick a style then....thats the style you want to use until you change it 😄
  5. Hi again, sorry for all the newbie questions. I have a word document containing over 200 tables. Not complex, they are there to show lots of different options for a project. When imported into publisher, they do not import properly and are unusable. I tried pasting them into a spreadsheet, but it just imports them as a single entity. Is there any way to import them en-masse and for them to keep usable formatting, or am I going to have to build a table in Publisher, copy paste it 200 times, and then individually paste in the data? 😝
  6. Hi Yep I'm in publisher. So: I create a new text box in a document. When I type into it, it defaults to the "no style" text. If I click a style before I start typing, it follows it. BUT if I do a return it then defaults back to the "no style" option using arial and double line spacing, and there seems no way to alter this. The only way I can get it to work is to type using "no style" and then select the text and then hit a style in the text styles tab. I cant work out how to apply a chosen default style whenever I type.
  7. Hi I am totally stuck on this. I have imported a book and managed to change the style of the text fine, and headings by altering the styles in the panel. However, whenever I now click into a text box and add new text it reverts to "no style" with arial double line spacing. Even if I just do a return, its a double line "no style" one and I have to select it and click a style. How can I set things up so when I click into a text box and type that it sticks to a certain style please?
  8. Ah thanks. Where is that box to select inline for an image? Also, can a text box be made inline in another text box?
  9. I'm very new and I'm probably doing this wrong! I have created a text frame and autoflowed text into it over multiple pages. I want to add images and little alert boxes of text inline. It seems the only way to do this over a text box is to add a new layer then insert the image/shape or frame text box. I can insert them, and wrap them so the text flows around them. But what I want to do is lock them in place, so they stay next to the text and flow with it, so when I edit text on the text layer, the images etc move with it and stay with the text I positioned them with. Is there way to lock things to certain places (like anchoring?) Thanks
