  1. This is the second batch of this particular work project, I tried exporting as a pdf with the first batch and had other issues with text boxes not doing what I wanted them to do. But it’s all good now, everything is ready to be sent off.
  2. Thank you all for your tips and advice, the way around it that I've found is exporting the headshot to the mask as a PNG, then placing the new headshot image onto the rectangle, then export the whole project as an SVG. Probably sounds overly complicated, but all the files are heading to a printers - so they want everything separated anyway, as well as files they can edit hence why I'm using SVG. Thank you all
  3. Hello all, Currently completing an ID Card project, which includes a headshot that has been masked by a rectangle (the image has also been cropped to match the size of the rectangle - I shall explain later). However, when I export using SVG, I lose the image on re-opening the .svg file. I cropped the headshot due to the fact that when only the mask is applied, and I've exported to SVG, the image has loses it's mask when opening the new file. Is there anyone that can advice me on what I'm doing wrong? I've also attached an image of my SVG export settings.
  4. I stumbled across exporting as an .SVG which had the Rasterise (Nothing) feature, and also, what I was trying to find, a Longer Text Span feature. So the text box expanded when you typed after exporting the project, rather than creating a new line when it reached the width limit I realise it was probably, quite a random out of the blue question. But hope it helps others like me who are new to needing the more advanced features
  5. Hello all! Currently working on some ID cards for work, and the printers have asked for a file with editable text. I have succeeded in making an editable PDF in Publisher, however when I reopen the file in Publisher to test it, when I go to replace the text (which the printers will do) the dimensions of the text box are not the same; any text that would go beyond the border, will automatically create a new line - instead of extending the text box. In the original file, the text box is spread to the margin line (48mmX2.7mm), however when re-opened the text boxes are shrunk to fit the text. I am assuming that the printers will use Photoshop or Illustrator, I was wondering if anyone could reassure me that my file will work the way I need it to in the Adobe softwares or if there's any way to fix the text dimensions so that they don't adjust? (Side note- I noticed Publisher can export into .PSD, if there's a way to keep the file editable while keeping the text boxes fixed then that would be absolutely lush). I hope this all makes sense, I can attach the file if people need to mess around with it. Thanks all - look forward to learning!
