  1. I have several PDFs which I need to import into my publication. They have been prepared with the correct bleed for the publication. However, when I Place the PDF inside the publication, the bleed is cut off, only the design within the page boundary shows. How do I get Affinity Publisher to respect the bleed settings of the imported PDF?
  2. Sorry, one more question... the printer I use does require PDFs to be in PDF/X-1a:2001 format - I'm a bit worried about what this means for this particular file. Presumably I can't ignore either error?
  3. I have received a PDF from a magazine contributor, for insertion in the magazine I'm designing. However, when I place the PDF I get a warning that the version is incompatible with the PDF export version. There is a button to "fix" this issue. However, after pressing it, the PDF warning disappears and a number of new errors appear about missing fonts. Those in turn have "Fix" buttons, which open the font manager, but the "missing" fonts aren't listed in Font Manager. The PDF appears fine when printed out, so I'm not sure why Publisher thinks there is an issue. What is the best way of fixing these problems, as it's really annoying (and a potential source of errors) having a popup telling me that there are Preflight warnings every time I go to export.
  4. I'm trying to pin an image (using Float) so that if the text changes position, the image will move with it. However when I do this, the image changes layers so that it is on top of the text, and I don't seem to be able to move it back underneath the text. Here are screenshots before I pin the image: And after: It appears that pinning makes the image a child of the text layer, which is understandable except that for some reason I don't understand, child layers seem to always appear on top of the parent layer. I can replicate the effect of having text on top by changing the blending mode of the image layer, but this seems like a pretty shonky workaround. How can I re-layer the pinned image so that it appears underneath the text?
