Update; Photo AI 1.0.10 doesn't crash AP2 now.

Also; MBA, Ventura 13.0.1, M1, AP2, all plugins updated.

A guy at DXO emailed me that opening a rasterized layer in AP2 will get the plugins to show up, (mine were grayed out). If I try to open Nik on a pixel layer, it opens, but there's no image. If I open on a dup background layer, it opens Nik, and shows the image. Kinda weird. As far as Topaz goes, Studio2 shows in filters, but doesn't open. The totally updated version of Photo AI, crashes AP2. A dude at Topaz said if I check Allow Unknown, it'll work. Alas, not the case. Too much work to get these to happen, standalone is looking quite attractive at this point.

Thanks, guys. Total appreciation. So that would open both photos into a single document as 2 layers? Now I get to dive into clipping....excuse the PS lingo.

Cool, thanks Walt. I've been messing with it...still can't figure out how to view each layer by turning off the other one. I read that ungrouping the stack does that, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Cheers, Alex.

Hey guys, same kind of question. How do I load 2 photos to make 2 layers? PS has a "Load files into PS layers" option, but no way am I using that app anymore. Super appreciate.

True that. It was just wishful thinking (venting) on my part that Apple would do its usual 2 or 3 updates in the first week. I love AP, it’s usually way stable. Actually, it gets better after about 20 minutes. All good…. Yeah, THAT would drive me nuts. I’m hoping my xp pen has the update by now. Cheers, fam.

Yup, I’m using AF in Ventura and it’s a nightmare. Entering metadata gets me the beautiful spinning beach ball for 20 seconds. 13.0 ain’t ready for the big leagues.

What's good Fam, Newbiest of newbs here. I'm have a similar problem. Is there a vid about how to load plugins? I'm a bonehead and can't figure out root directories, etc. The help menu is kinda confusing. I got them to show up in Filters. Luminar AI said it was opening, but never did, and Topaz crashed AP. I'm quite envious that Topcat_1966 actually got some to say "Working". MBP, Catalina 10.15.7, 500GB, 16 ram. I was going to try Filter Forge next, I've read that there is some success using it, but my head hurts too much right now. Cheers
