That’s what the Assistant is set to - looks like a bug -
I’m going to have to pick this up tomorrow. Only issue like this I had on V1 was with having to always select a colour before dropping the pencil, even if the colour I wanted was already selected - but this? It was doing what I wanted by just adding the brush strokes into the objects as it’s ALWAYS done and then all of a sudden it just stops working - a common feature of this software it seems..
-
Basic operation I’ve done a million times - just suddenly wont add a pixel layer to objects anymore. I was doing it a few minutes ago - but ever since I performed a Boolean op on some layers it won’t do it at all now! Why - another bug? I’m seriously thinking about sacking this software off for something else right now Hey buy the new updated version - it’s got even more bugs!🤦♂️

Resizing Document AD V2 iPad?
awakenedbyowls replied to awakenedbyowls's topic in Affinity on iPad Questions
I figured it out in the end - don’t know what the bars down the left are supposed to help with but having the boxes to enter the number down the side and lock-aspect etc along the top - and then you have to click tick or cross isn’t very clear - not really sure why this way instead of just a pop-up box? -
Is there some logical, intuitive method for this buried deep in the new interface somewhere that can achieve this - because I can’t figure it out? I tried the “Resize” option from the drop down menu but after that I’m completely lost! How is it possible for something so basic as this to be such a cryptic mess? Is this how it’s going to be now going forward? Beginning to wonder if I should just have stuck with V1

If you go into View in File Explorer and then tick File Name Extensions then it will display .afdesign or whatever after the file name below the icon Works until you end up (as I often do) with massive filenames: version 1 - version 2 etc... As long as none of these early bugs cause me to lose any work then I'm reasonably happy

The main .MSIX version(s) I think - I had a look at some page before and it said the alternative versions were beta and I don't really want to risk my work flow on anything less tested than the current main version - I'm not really sure what the pros and cons of either are or really understand why the installation process for this seems to be different from everything else I've ever installed? Walt F has directed me to a temporary solution anyway (cheers) Just got used to the icon allowing me to easily distinguish between files - it's a minor thing
