No, I don't have a document open. I was just setting up my interface. Okay, so the interface is essentially white or dark. No in between options, like in Adobe. I figured the color applied to those icons. Thank you for confirming.

That's wonderful! Thank you! BUT, do the sliders for the background and artboard do nothing? I do like a little gray. And I clicked the option for colored icons, and they're not colored.

New Affinity user. I REALLY hate dark mode. It's hard for me to read. I've gone into the preferences (I'm on a Mac) > User Interface > moved the sliders down on the background and artboard, and nothing is changing! Can anyone help me?

Brand new to Publisher, using ID for a couple of decades. Quark before that. Typesetter and production artist before that. Graphic designer for nearly 50 years. Reading these responses. Cut and paste a line???? What???? Can you imagine what a nightmare that would be if you had to do a long form with many fields? Is this professional desktop publishing software or not??? Using underscores?? In Word, that's for lay people who don't know how to set tabs. This should be baked in to Publisher. Seriously? I-I-I-I can't even. I'm speechless. I can do this in my sleep in Word and InDesign. Seriously reconsidering re-upping my subscription with Adobe right now.
