  1. Thank you all. I will try your various suggestions. You are very supportive to this casual, amateur user, I appreciate it. Screenshot: pink are cutting lines. It is edge masking for a headlamp cover.
  2. I purchased this as I needed the Pinboard effect. Ideally I would have liked a vector fill of evenly spaced dots - if there is an Add On which provides this then please direct me to it. However, I have cut the edges to the shape needed but the dots are too large, can I control their size? With thanks, in anticipation, Stephen
  3. H Thank you Alfred. The hidden part must not change aspect ratio and it may change size independently of the rectangles. However, I will try the techniques you recommend.
  4. Hi Callum Thank you. I can resize the rectangles easily enough and am happy to change the aspect ratio as needed by the proportions of the underlying material, be it a webpage, feather flag, sheet of A4 (printing! shock) and like the idea that they encompass additional material. The problem arises in the top RH corner where the rounded corners inerset with a separate set of vectors (you can see the corner of a waving flag. I have deliberately kept these sepoarate but they overlap (or it might be underlie) the rectangles and the corner detail changes as the resizing is made. I'm sorry if that doesn't make sense, it is rather hard to explain.
  5. Firstly, I apologise for my ignorance. In my defence, I am an autodidact (Designer is impressively easy to learn, although I haven't reached the depths available). I have an image for the club of which I am a member. As part of a renaming exercise, the overall design needs a few tweeks whilst keeping the essential components in their original style & aspect ratio. My revision has this detail surrounded by two encompassing rounded rectangles, which touch the image in one corner. I need to keep the relationship in the top right hand corner intact whilst stretching the rectanges to suit particular applications. I hope the pictures convey my intentions better than words do.
