  1. That's really helpful for the rectangles already, thanks a lot! But the font I have to use is italic and I only received that one font version. I don't even know if there is a regular "straight" version. So scewing/shearing the text frame just makes the font more italic than it already is with the background always lacking behind:
  2. Hey Guys, I'm designing a lot of sharepics using Affinity Publisher that require me to place text in front of a shape (a rectangle, sometimes a screwed rectangle = trapezium). When I need to change the text, the shape behind it needs to be changed as well, so that the text perfectly matches with the shape behind. It results in some kind of highlight effect: Unfortunately, that's a lot of work when it comes to longer texts or multiple sharepics. I found the option to fill the text frame with a color which would in theory create a similar effect. The problem is, that the background shape wouldn't end with the text but with the text frame: I can use the artistic text tool with the same filling and a bold stroke around it for one-liners: Now I have a one-liner text whose background will adapt to the size of the text. But that does only work for a rectangular shape in the background. If I need a trapezium as background shape, I have to go back to manually changing every shape behind every line of text: I would hope that there is an easier way to manage those kind of text-shape designs in the future and would like to suggest a feature where the size of the background shape can be linked to the size of the actual text. Thanks a lot in advance for considering
  3. Sorry that my phrasing led to a misunderstanding. I really meant to just change the colour of the star itself, not an additional border line. I will look for more information on "layer blend modes", thanks. I'm still happy to get additional input on how to achieve the result
  4. Hey guys, I would like to have the stars change colour when overlapping the different colour background. I tried to demonstrate it with the big star in the middle but you can see that the solution is far from perfect. I hope there might be an easier way to have the curve change adapt a new colour exactly on the border to a different object. So in the end, the upper star should have a blue border line as soon as it covers the white background. And the lower star should have a white border line as soon as it is on top of the blue background. Is there any feature to support that? If not, is there any way to achieve that. I tried to look in the internet for help, but didn't find any tutorials or how-to guides with the search terms that I could think of. Thanks so much in advance!
  5. Thank you veeery much! I followed the steps and it works now. I'm sorry for causing trouble, I found no results with the words I used to search for the problem
  6. Hey, I'm not using Affinity Designer that often so I'm really no expert. When I create new files, they is some sort of yellowness. Even the purest white is displayed in some sort of yellow/sepia (see "white" square on the picture). I thought it was some sort of wrong setting. But I was able to reset the whole program using control and still have the problem. Can somebody please help? Thanks already
