I use Windows 11 Home, version 10.0.22000 with an installed memory of 16 GB. I use the function for placing images in a A4 document prepared with 40 pages. So I select 10 jpg-files with about 100 MB file size in total with the function 'place image'. With placing the first selected image the Publisher crashes. If I select 5 of these jpg-files everything works fine, then repeat this for the second 5 jpg-files, it is working fine. This issue was reproduced several times, it is not a one time case. It seems the there is an issue with allocating sufficient memory for this operation. I would helpful if the application does not start image placing then a certain memory size is exceeded.

In the case you select several images (about 100 MB) for placing them in a document the Publisher App will crash. If you reduce the amount of images (e. g. only 50 MB) then is works fine. There is no warning that the amount of data exceeds a certain limit for this procedure but the programme terminates immediately and you loose your last edits in your document.

If you open large data file then there is no feed back to the user while the file is loading. It would be nice that a progess bar is displayed during loading.
