  1. … clarification … (H) above might still have to be a manual action to get the unders and overs you want but the folllow path option I am suggesting could always pass under (or over) self … perhaps thats another option 🙂
  2. i was about to post the similar. It would be really usefull to have an option to select between three modes ignore self intersections (existing behaviour E above), include self intersections (I) or follow path (H)
  3. This is perhaps not so much a bug but a note to be aware that paragraph decorations do not adhere to text wrapping settings. see attached screenshots (examples to demonstrate only … not works of art :-)). The help text suggests to me that decorations will follow the text but that is possibly a bit much to expect where wrapping is applied. Of course Publisher has many ways to work around this in most cases e.g. setting properties for the upper layer objects. Maybe just adding a note to help is all that is needed.
  4. The selectors for Paragraph Decoration Relative to for Top, Left, Bottom, Right seem to behave strangley in that if I select say relative to Ascent then the selector box becomes XHeight … it seems like a mismatch between Dropdown selector text and value.
  5. Affinity Photo 2, iPadPro In Curves Tool, the Channel options do not update immediately when selecting a different Colour Space. However, selecting the Curves Tool again does update the available Channel options correctly. Seems like a Channels refresh is missing on the Colour Space selection.
  6. Cool, thanks … a few more observations on this … As @DM1 noted gradient appears to attach to the canvas when contour is added. When the gradient is detached, scaling the gradient and adding handles behaves oddly. The handles do not line up with actual colours of the gradient and it looks like a scaling issue. “Baking Appearance” appears to reattach the gradient and it can be moved around correctly Cheers🙂
  7. Designer 1.10.19 running on ipad pro gen 4 12.9 ipados 15.0.2 Gradient fill seems to detach from text if text is modified by contouring tool. This issue does not seem to affect other shapes. Select Text tool, set font size to say 100, Add some text Select gradient tool, select text and apply a gradient fill to text Select move tool and move text around. Text will move with gradient attached as expected. Now select Contour tool, add contour to text of say 5 pt radius Select move tool and move text around. Text will move but now gradient appears to be detached. From this point, the gradient appears to be a static background. Changes to the gradient are a bit unpredictable i.e. scaling or adding and moving gradient handles do not seem to align with gradient colours. Now select text and set contour radius back to zero - gradient seems to reattach and text can be moved with gradient attached as expected. Gradient edits can be made as expected. This same sequence on a shape does not exhibit the same “detachment” issue.
  8. Thanks for reply ... I have seen the Equations filter which provides for xy coordinate transformation (and polar coordinates) whereas the Procedural Texture filter provides for colour channel manipulations. The tutorials on Procedural Texture are done on the desktop version which provides a dialogue to create equations eg for channel mixing. This feature does not seem to be available on ipad (yet anyway). Hopefully it will come.
  9. Procedural Texture on iPad only seems to support presets. I cannot find how to open a dialog to input custom equations. Will this be a limitation on Affinity Photo for iPad compared to desktop?
