  1. Yes... sending you the best... hope it all works out soon. There is something 'lurking' though... starting to see where other software (non-affinity) also having issues that were not there until recently... truly strange. Regardless... hoping for the best for you J.C., what you say makes sense... stick to your sound judgement on this as an 'unknown' til you know for sure.
  2. You may be absolutely correct... I know that many ppl, including myself & on these forums, are having some truly bizarre technical things going on, . Ex. I took a dear friend's iMac to some professionals a few weeks back to fix -- they said it was a software issue (not hardware) so we thought all was well -- when she got the computer it crashed again in about 3 days... so that's why I think you're right about the 'bug lurking somewhere'... the real question is where though. And my issue was totally out of the blue... bizarre indeed. Any who... I hope it all gets resolved for you soon... take care.
  3. After a lot of praying I was finally able to access and view my file. I'm not exactly sure all of what happened internally in designer for about a 26-36 hr time frame... but I let the computer sit, did a few hard reboots and eventually - after several tries - it all came back together. Normally with affinity designer if there's a sudden crash/loss of power... 99% of the time AD will save even when I don't save it so that when I re-open my files everything is there. In this case, it jus' didn't do it right away and was giving me the error msg that the file was corrupted... so bizarre and unfortunate in those moments... and my doc was hanging out there, unaccessible in crash mode for a long while... hope everyone gets their issues resolved... peace out!
  4. Hey MEB I jus uploaded it. I've noticed recently that several ppl with older iMac's seem to be having all sorts of issues, both here on the forums, and ppl I know in general. I'm even having trouble with my own personal websites that I could access jus a few weeks ago. Also I ordered from your competitor (sorry, only the photoshop temporarily : ) bc the file I needed was created from there -- however I couldn't load this to my iMac either, only to my iPad which is limited. I'm a true loyal fan of affinity designer however and I'm always bragging about how good it is! Anyway... this may be a stretch but it seems there have been some major system changes (unknown to many of us) that are happening all across and perhaps I (and many others) have to update to newer more advanced computers. And for clarity -- I was only working on my computer, I didn't do anything weird or strange. The only thing I do sometimes is type-move pretty fast on the keyboard and that's when i sometimes get that nasty dreaded spinning pinwheel apple icon. Other than that -- there was nothing crazy or strange going on with my computer. Thanks a million MEB... I really need this file. What do you recommend going forward as far as automatic backing up my affinity designer files? I will get a new computer but not til early 2021. And sorry for your issues to Joao Carvalho... I certainly hope it works out soon for you.
  5. Sean P... I jus had the same issue (and also sent this in on another similar thread)... maybe you can help also. I had been working for several hours in affinity designer and was in the middle of creating a new set of graphics to be uploaded online this evening. In the middle of the document it initially stalled... then I did a hard reboot-shutdown... when it came back up ti allowed me to work on the same document for about a minute -- then it crashed out of no where and I got the same msg... 'Failed to load document: nov fall designs...' "The document appears to be corrupted. The document must now be closed." in all my years of working on affinity designer this has never happened... I need this file. Can you or another tech recover it? Or walk me through how to recover? As of yet -- the window is still open bc I need these graphics. I'm on an iMac 2011 version. PLEASE -- PLEASE HELP. ASAP..!!! Let me know if I need to send additional files.
