I had shifted to the old version and moved back again to the new version now. The import works fine now and I checked the HW acceleration, it was disabled. Looks like it was never enabled in the first place too.

Publisher freezes when editing or importing text styles. Once frozen, nothing can be done and the only way out is to kill the process from task manager. When I try to close from right clicking from task bar, publisher asks me if I want to save the doc, but ofcourse the option cannot be selected. This is only with the version 1.9.2 and had worked perfectly with the previous versions . Considering shifting back to previous version
