Also: if you have a graphic object on the master page, it will float above a graphic object pinned to text on a regular page. In this case, the book title head ("The Unfortunate Archibald Marble") is a graphic object on the left-hand master page. The chapter title illustration ("The Eyes") is on the regular page. Using Publisher 1.8.4 on Mac OS 10.15.7

Preflight tagging misspellings weirdly (and wrong)

If it's a Zero Width Space problem, it doesn't show up with the other invisibles... Or am I just not seeing it? (It's flagged -tanley, -carlett, -ogether, and -ast.)

Publisher preflight check has flagged tons of words that it thinks are misspelled. They are not; for some reason Publisher is skipping the first letter and tagging the rest of the word as misspelled. (The author of the book is British; I'm ignoring preflight's tagging of British spellings.) When I imported the text(.docx), Publisher did a very odd thing, de-italicizing the first letter of most italicized words and sometimes italicizing the first letter of the following word. Perhaps these two glitches are related?
