  1. Never mind Aad, I have actually found the solution. The scroll bars can't be turned off but the problem only happens if i) I am using the Hand tool and unnecessarily scrolling and moving around (ie. drag pan view) OR i) I am dragging the object way too far and it begins to get out of window view. (I am using a small laptop so that happens often). Especially the second problem happened quite often. I am now more careful while dragging around objects and the problem hasn't recurred again. I think I will be able to manage this workflow perfectly fine. But yeah I need a bigger monitor for sure.
  2. Hi everyone, On Affinity Photo, even when the Canvas size is set to Zoom to Fit the scrollbars still appear on the right and bottom. If you accidentally scroll your mouse wheel or drag an object a bit too much the canvas starts moving around. This can be extremely annoying. Is there any way to remove/hide/disable scrollbars when the entire canvas or picture is visible? On PS, the scrollbars don't appear when Fit to Screen is selected and this problem doesn't occur. There's got to be a solution for this problem. Please help. I am using Windows 10. Note: Screenshots attached for comparison.
  3. Hey just an update, in case you are still seeing it: I just tried it in a complicated photo and it is glorious. I am almost weeping in joy. I have tried PS before but I decided graphics design is not for me (I actually still have that PS subscription running cause I can't cancel it without being hit with an early cancellation penalty ). Can you point out some resources to start learning Affinity Photo in a systematic way. The problem with YT tutorials is that they are all over the place. There are so many things you can do. So what the concepts and techniques I should learn first. I would like to design book covers with Affinity Photo.
  4. Hello everyone, I am a photo editing noob and I need some help. On YouTube there's an excellent tutorial which shows how we can obtain the full quality, High Resolution transparent image from the low resolution transparent image we can get from remove.bg by using GIMP. It uses mask layer and alpha channels to get the job done. But I can't figure out how to accomplish this in Affinity Photo. Here's the tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzwRPq660m8 Can anyone please translate this tutorial for Affinity? I especially get completely lost in the "transfer alpha channels" part while creating new mask layer, I can't find any equivalent option in Affinity. Please post instructions. Any screenshot or two will really help. Many thanks in advance :) P.S: It's a really cool tutorial so I am sure it will help many other newbie members too.
