Thanks all, problem solved. Publisher had been saving files with photo file extension .afphoto . By changing file extension on one file to .afpub, all the others changed also. Very strange. However, Publisher will not open directly. Flash screen appears with an hourglass and disappears again almost immediately. When I click on a file in a folder Publisher opens but so do other recently opened .afpub files. No problems with Designer or Photo. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Designer - I cannot get layers panel on screen. I have gone into ' layers' tab at top of screen and hit show all and also toggled Ul bot to no avail. Any suggestions?
