  1. Thanks for that test document. When I open it on my Mac there's 13 axes visible, but as soon as I close the axes menu and reopen, it's back to just five axes... Strange...
  2. Ooops, I reference to Artistic Textbox - haven't still had the time to test this on big textblocks...
  3. As been mentioned several times in this thread, not all V-fonts shows all available Axes for the user, like Robot Flex, But, several of the eight axes hidden there is pretty usable when you dealing with artistic fonts. So my question is, why would Roboto Flex author like to hide so many axes? Many other V-fonts has both seven or ten, even 15 axes we can use I Affinity Publisher v.2.50b2, why do they leave so many axes available?
  4. Thanks! Too much to read on many forums gets you blind and not sharp enough to read & remember…
  5. Also, could all axis be shown in more advanced typefaces? Robo Flex has 12 different axis, but Affinity Publisher v.2.50 b2 only show five (5) - why?
  6. When can we get this functionality on our iPads? I really looking forward for the day Serif implement Move Data Entry (Move/Duplicate) to iPad. Although I have an descent Mac, iPad Pro brings me more flexibility and joy… Serif, when? Can’t understand why both Variable Fonts and QR-codes and Line Width Tool was brought to iPad before (Move/Duplicate)?
  7. With that as an goal for Serif, what’s next? Line Width Tool in lines in tables? I don’t think Serif would do the Adobe travel and get Affinity Suite too bloated…
  8. Why should it? At least me thinks that this may not be high on the Serif priority list…
  9. Walt, I have another problem on my iPad Pro M1 - I was eager to test the Variable Font functionality, but, I did the mistake to install the V-fonts before I started the new Publisher beta (2.50) - all of a sudden the fontmenu in Publisher is almost useless, it scrolls so slow slow, and lagging heavily… Now I can’t if it’s a bug in latest beta for iPad, or, some fonts are interfering with something… How is it on your iPad? Is the fontmenu OK?
  10. OK, so you move from one billion dollar company to another multi billion dollar (and ugly) company? Good luck if that’s your move…
  11. Why why why do you relate to Indesign in this thread?? It's really really Off-Topic... Affinity Publisher isn't Adobe Indesign, so, what's the point??
  12. But, your attached document isn't made in Affinity Designer v.2.50 beta 1 - so, how could you use Line Width Tool then??
  13. Yeah, Logic Pro id da shit!! Bought it when they reached version 10 back in 2013 ($200), and now, 11 years later, it’s v10.85 and I haven’t paid a penny for Logics updates since then! Incredible!
  14. Ok, but, if it’s so, why have Serif struggled to take Affinity Publisher to the iPad in the first place - doesn’t make sence!! iPad version of Publisher is around 95% of the desktop version - pretty strange priorities from Ashley concerning the planning of resources in the team…
  15. The only thing to complain about concerning Affinity Suite is two things: 1. Very very basic functionalities has still not be seen in this Suite after so many years - why? 2. Why have Serif Ltd holding off several new features to iPad, but released on Mac and Windows? Bad priorities…
  16. This reply from Patrick is really funny… Why shouldn’t the head of Flourish have nothing than positive things to say about Canva? He’s not neutral, he’s part of this konglomerat Canva International (soon to be bought by Adobe Inc.)…
  17. How many of you out there that is negative around this buyout of Serif Ltd? It seems that PC have been waking up and starting treathen us if we continue our replying around our negativism…
  18. Ash - everything "you" promise here, is that written in a buyout-contract between the former Serif-owner and Canva? Because - if it ain't an written commitment, there's nothing that can't be changed down the road... You may excuse me, but I'm enormous skeptical to all this Affinity/Canva future...
  19. No, it can't be the money that brought Serif Ltd mentally broken... Serif Ltd as a company has earned more than 45 million pounds (50m dollar) the last three years - pretty good for a really small company. So, where have all the money been going? Not to speed up the slooooow development of Affinity Suite...
  20. Good suggestion! I use the app CrossOver on my Macs to run “old” Windows application (can’t install Win on another drive because I have Apple Silicon CPU:s on my Macs)… CrossOver is fantastic - I can run so many Win-apps not present on Mac platform - Xara as an example - also many special utilities that I need. Nice to avoid a real Windows computer and just stick to Macbook Pro, iMac and fabulous big iPads… https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover/
  21. Favorite in reprise: Thanks to the great member @Bit Disappointed
  22. Best reply ever! We are now eagerly awaiting the answer what have changed since 25 of mars 2024? How come that we all of a sudden are important for Caffinity??
