Image Trace of images is essential to my work methodology, as it helps me save a considerable amount of time. Normally, I used to rely heavily on the vectorizer.ai tool, as Serif has not yet developed an option to vectorize pixels. This tool was especially useful when working with lettering and looking to vectorize pixel brushes, among others. However, recently vectorizer.ai became paid, which is unfortunate :-(. Looking for alternatives, I wonder if anyone knows of a similar tool. As I am faced with the need to find an alternative to vectorizer.ai, I would like to explore options that offer free automatic vectorization.

I would like to suggest an improvement in Affinity Designer related to the placement of slices when exporting content for social media. It would be great if the sectors of the "slices" could be adjusted in a similar way as the elements in the toolbar are adjusted. It happens that when I try to align the slices they always move to the edge of the first artboard on the left which is unintuitive, I would also like a better way to adjust the slices. I mean something like magnet snapping or move by pixels, or even automatically snap to the guide lines taken from the ruler. I've noticed that I sometimes waste time trying to adjust them manually, although I know I can fix that by using the transform panel. However, I feel it would be more intuitive to have this functionality directly in the export tool. Thank you for your attention and for creating such a wonderful program. I am a 100% fan, greetings! from Venezuela. affinity snappin.mp4

Hi, I have a curious situation. I work with Affinity Publisher to design content for social networks, but I often switch to Affinity Designer because Publisher doesn't have a proper export function. However, I've noticed something strange. When I create sectors with the "Slices Panel" tool in Designer and export each Instagram post, everything is fine. But when I go back to Publisher to work on other posts and then go back to Designer after a while to create new sectors to export, the sectors or "slices" move around. This does not happen when I create artboards, which could be a possible solution. I just wanted to mention it because I find it curious. Thank you very much for your attention.

First of all, I appreciate yours response @walt.farrell @Alfred. My main drawback when exporting in Designer lies in what @Old Bruce mentioned: the hyperlinks in the PDFs are lost when exporting them using Designer's export option. So, my question is whether there is a way to export them without losing the hyperlinks. This is crucial for the organization I work for, as it is vital that the documents retain those links. Otherwise, I would have to export them multiple times, which is impractical 🥲🥲.

Is there a similar way to export in Affinity Publisher as in Affinity Designer? I am working on a large project where I need to create 180 onepages for the leaders of our foundation. Each onepage contains a hyperlink that leads to our website, and I need to export them individually in separate PDF files. If I export the entire document, the pages are merged into a single file. My goal is to provide each leader with their own separate document to email. The problem is that because there are so many documents, I have to retype the name and export 180 times, which is not very intuitive. So what did I do, I exported the whole document as a PDF and then opened it in Affinity Designer to turn each page into a workbench and export it in "Persona" export However, another problem arose: the hyperlinks were lost when exporting in Affinity Designer. I am looking for a more efficient solution, as it will take me a long time to export the individual pages in Affinity Publisher. Is there a more intuitive way to do this? I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thank you.

I would currently prefer a software similar to canva.com perhaps called "affinity network?" that allows simple video editing all focused on social networks and social media. that allows you to work in groups when I say similar to canvas that has through addons qr code generator can add gif content planner, which is linked to the drive or the cloud that has free audio bank etc ... we all know that sooner or later adobe buy canvas would be good that already serif is positioned in the market before that happens. i usually use the canva+affinity combo every day i usually use canva to animate flayers for my clients also when i want to remove the backgrounds to a video or an image quickly or to download something from their paid image bank. if affinity would charge a subcription for all that i could afford it, canva for example for 85$ a year i can share the account with 5 other people... in the end we end up paying 17$ each for a whole year which would translate to 1,5$ a month for all the benefits it gives us... i.e. a multiplatform app that allows me to use all my creative apps in a single one, that would be a real linkstudio.

hi bro I saw your previous message you don't have to apologize I am not offended, and since you are from the African continent you understand my perspective maybe a subscription like adobe for a person from a privileged country the monthly fee is nothing but for me it is life is food that I stop buying for my family I think a subscription model is viable as long as it fits the need that is worldwide not just thinking of designers from rich countries. Now there are affordable subscription models such as canva.com that costs $85 per year and can be used with 5 people, currently with some colleagues designers between all of us we pay the year to have the benefit of the image bank and paid texts. Obviously I do not want to compare since they are two different programs but perhaps a similar charging model may be viable for developing countries, I understand that the serif model is derisory for the number of years it has been updated for free.

well I don't know what to say, I live in Venezuela and it's impossible for us to pay a subscription in adobe a logo here is paid in 10$ maximum. only getting jobs in other countries of the region like peru, colombia or argentina you could increase the rate to 60$ but they are not recurrent jobs, a blessing is to get remote work abroad but it is not very usual in my case, practically my acquaintances and even myself work in the local market. I don't like piracy, but the country situation forced me to pirate adobe programs until I met affinity and even though it doesn't have the shape builder tool I made the transition and I'm more than happy. As soon as V2 comes out I will buy it but if they decide to make it subcription I will unfortunately have to go back to the dark world of Jack Sparrow T_T.
