  1. Thanks Lee. I am using Kaspersky Firewall with Defender switched off. As you suggested I have toggled the serif apps on and off but no change - upon start up I do not see a notification, and pressing check for updates says 'up to date using 2.3.1 It is not the end of the world. I'll try installing 2.4 and see if that makes a difference.
  2. New MSI laptop running Windows 11. Affinity 2.3.1 running fine, but does not 'see' notification of new v2.4. Just tested 04 March 2024. Wifi and internet OK. Something in my PC settings?
  3. Having the same problem. Multiple artefacts, in the form of white boxes, occasionally black lines appear randomly on export. EVENTUALLY one export will work, but I should not need to worry if I missed an artefact before printing. HW acceleration disabled, no difference. Windows 10, I7, 16GB RAM. System crashes at least every 15 minutes.
  4. I am trying to set a keyboard shortcut to set fill black and white. I enter the letter D as shown but It does not work It is not recalled when I reopen preferences (blank input area). (I tried Save to a file, but nothing) Shortcut X to swap colours works fine (for example) I am expecting the magenta/white currently selected in my screenshot to jump to black/white, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong please? Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.9.1
  5. Nube. Really simple issue, but I can't make it work as I expect. In multi layer Photo project, I want to erase the top of an image in one layer. I draw the marquee then Shift X to delete. It deletes the whole layer, not just the bit inside the marquee. Why please? I expect it is a setting somewhere.
