  1. I had a similar problem with version one and again with 2 which is still happening with 2.2.1 I can edit about 5 photos and then it crashes, usually on develop (I am using RAW photos) or save. As the problem with 1 seemed to be RAM, I upgraded to 16Gb and that solved it until the upgrade to version 2. I have been tracking this and it seems that as I develop photos the ram being used goes up as if when as I save and close one photo it is stored or held in RAM. My spec is well above the minimum recommended but PCs are known to use whatever RAM is available. Not sure what I can do about this. Upgrading to 32Gb may not solve anything. Any suggestions?
  2. My problems are with 2.1.1. It always starts on the fourth or fifth photo edit, when developing or saving. Its usually a total crash but sometimes a freeze. I had this problem with the original and spent ages trying to sort it out. The techys pointed to a machine problem and we checked the GPU and several other things. It was an idle comment to upgrade the RAM that did it. I went from 8 to 16. I can't believe that is the problem now. I have checked the speed of the VRAM and GPU on developing and they do not get near maximum, either.
  3. am not sure how that makes a difference but for the record it was downloaded from the Affinity website. I can't uninstall and reinstall as it will supply the latest version!
  4. It seems the truth is that the solution is not known. How do we roll back to the previous version which worked perfectly.
  5. I tried the roll back. It failed. I now do not have a working version of the program.
  6. I have found since the update program crashes on develop. Bizarrely on restart it manages to go through to save but the next photo crashes again. So it continues meaning processing the photos takes twice as long rendering the program useless.
