  1. Yes. But I think, you don't recognize all the features you can do. When you put a RAW to AP it opens always in Develop Photo. After developing you can switch to Photo Persona and go on. You can go forward and backward between this Personas as you want. At the very end, you press save and it's saved as afphoto. Only if you want a Jpeg you have to export it as another step. Uwe
  2. Hi J.Ochando, be aware of the file size. Last week I bought a Sony A7C with a 24 MB pixel sensor. You can store an uncompressed RAW and an extra fine Jpeg in one shot which wasn't possible with the A7II. The Jpeg is 15MB, the RAW 45 MB BUT the edited RAW saved as afphoto was over 300 MB each. I shot three pictures to see the difference between of Jpeg and RAW, developed them and it was over 1GB for all three to store them.
  3. Hi Phil, this bug is already now for over one year and still lasts. But i can save raw. As the very last step after editing I switch to Develop Persona, accept without changing something. Then close and save works.
  4. It's a yo-yo. For a couple of weeks it worked well with any photo. This week, suddenly, it crashed with every photo. Wonder why?
  5. I just made an update to macOS 10.15.4 and tried wether it works with AP. Most photos - not all - you can save directly back into MacOS Photos as in earlier times. Hope it will last.
  6. Some times yes, some times no. I guess, it depends on the version of AP and the macOS or combination of both.
  7. Strange things happened. If I do so, it is highlighted but pressing the" Save Changes "the error message appears. Then I noticed that you started with Photos , not with Albums like me. So I took just a picture from Photos and it worked well. Then I took the the matchbox picture from Photos and it fails. I tried for a while, that´s the result : ever photo imported between February 2020 and March, 7. the edit starting in Photos or Albums is o.k. All other imported photos, earlier or later, the edit fails.
  8. No, it dos not change to blue. I can click where ever I want, the error message appears.
  9. Hi Mark, thanks a lot. I hope the video shows what Cecil wants to see. At least, the unedited photo appears. Uwe Bildschirmvideo_aufnehmen_2020-03-20_um_15_41_43.mov
  10. I bought it from the Mac App Store in 2016. It was AP1.4. Since then, I made every update of AP when it appears. Uwe
  11. I just made the update to AP 1.8.2. The bug still exists. But there is a possibility to avoid it. If I edit a JPG and want to save it back to Apple Photos, it still fails. When I edit the same JPG and as the last step I switch to Develop Persona and do a little change, for example make the photo i little lighter then I can store and save it as usual. Uwe
  12. Thank you for your answer. If I understand right, you had the problem from the begin of AF1.8. I wonder why between my update to AF 1.8 on February 27. until March 7. AF1.8 and 1.8.1 was working fine. What happened on March 8. ? Uwe
  13. Hi, I always have JPG, I never use RAW files. When I have finished editing in AF, I press the save button. If I do a lot of editing, usually it lasts half or an second to store and a bar is running until it's saved. Now nothing happens. Then I press the close button and then the yellow button in the left corner to put AF to the tool bar. Now Photos appears and I press the button " save the edited photo" . Now a message pops up " Bearbeitung mit Edit Affinity Photo ist fehlgeschlagen. Ein unerwarteter Fehler ist aufgetreten. " Meaning: "Editing with AF crashed. An unexpected error happened. " It's just the same as with AF 1.7. witch is reported here in the forum. I had the same problem with AF1.7 and Catalina. So I waited for AF 1.8. After the update to 1.8 and 1.8.1 everything was fine until yesterday. Uwe
  14. This problem seemed to be fixed with AF 1.8. But suddenly it occurs yesterday during my workflow. I'm using AF 1.8.1 and Os Catalina. Uwe
