  1. It's probably ok on your iphone. Inpaint tool does a remarkably quick job but needed a couple of Clone Stamp fixes.
  2. Thanks... yet another thing to know. It never stops really!
  3. Resetting the iPad solved the problem. Thanks for sticking with me on this. I don’t think I could have done it in my own. I must admit I prefer PCs to Apple systems. However, the portability of the iPad is hard to beat.
  4. Apple Pencil. When it occurred I might have accidentally touched something manually. However, I do use the pencil for everything except moving and zooming. How it occurred is of course not the problem. I just want to remove it from the screen.

  6. 'Just found screen grab on my iPad. Here is the mystery circle
  7. Close the app and reopen definitely doesn’t remove the problem. I tried cycling through the layer panel as the first attempt to resolve the issue. The circle is above the working layer, almost like it appears in the user interface. I am so new to this iPad business I haven’t figured out how to get the images out onto another device yet, other than email. My feeling is that this circle is not part of the saved image so if I attach an example below it won’t show up. iPad screen grab anyone ? On a PC I am really familiar with Affinity (for the purposes I use it for). If the attachment below doesn’t have a magenta circle in the centre of the image, then I may be correct since it now appears above all images in Affinity Photo.
  8. I am using Affinity on iPad Air. (I have also been using Affinity photo on my pc with great success). This question is about iPad version. Happily getting to grips with iPad version when for no reason I can discern, a coloured circle appeared above the art work. I can’t remove it. It is above the layers level and so not part of the work I am creating.Suspiciously, it is exactly the same size as the colour picker circle. I cannot remove it from the GUI.It appears in centre of screen above all previous works I have created on the iPad. I tried: Reset all Settings before opening the work to no avail.
  9. This is 2021 and I have just downloaded Affinity Photo and Designer onto my new iPad with 10.9" screen and I can hardly see the icons (size and contrast). Can they be expanded now? Love using Affinity on my PCs 32" screen.
  10. Building on the basic instruction in this post here is a more refined method. Note: it is better to leave the Black and White adjustment until after you have adjusted Curves... Turn photo into a drawing. Simple method. 1, Place photo on New doc > duplicate and Select duplicated layer. 2, Filters >Detect edges 3, Layer >Invert (important) [Ctrl i] 4, Adjust >Curves. Drag low end of the curve line to the right until all the lines you want to see are defined. 5, Drag the top end of the line to the left until most of the gray detail disappears 6, Reselect the duplicate layer 7, Adjust >Black and White and Voila! 8, Group it all together and Rasterise If you want to use the line drawing as the top layer and place something like Watercolour brush effects underneath you can make the white layer transparent by choosing: Filters >colours > Erase White Paper This method is easier to understand and more effective than other methods I have seen demonstrated.
