  1. Thank you, but I'm not getting what I want. Where am I wrong? See the several steps as you described
  2. Adobe Illustrator has the possibility to cut out parts of a circle. How do I do that in Affinity? Please help.
  3. There are several ways to come to a good result it seems. You helped me a lot. Thank you and wish you well. Luc
  4. I can see the way you worked. New to me, and very helpful is the way you switch between the black and white. Am I correct you didn't used the pen tool? Regards, Luc
  5. OK OK, I look at the video immediately!!! Many thanks. I'm sure other people will learn from it. Luc
  6. Good morning Callum, will you find the time to make that video? I really hope it. Thank you!
  7. A video? That should be very very nice Callum. I post here the original photo. As you see, at the end is a gate. I doubled the photo, made it smaller and placed it at the end (see picture 1). In that way the hall seems to be endless. Picture 2 is the original photo. Thank you for your great help! Luc
  8. I think I understand it now - as Allan said: "select the mask then use CMD + I to hide the mask" and then "paint back in the picture (= what I want to be seen = the green doors) with white as the foreground colour and set the brush hardness to 0%, so that the (added) doors come on the foreground. Is that correct?
  9. Hi Allan, I tried it again (with an other photo) and it doesn't work. I started a new topic: inplainting problem (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/12497-inpainting-problem/?p=54383) Can you help me please. Luc
  10. Thank you Callum. I have a question I asked here before, but I cannot reproduce it again. See my screen print. I doubled the photo, made it smaller. I must keep the green doors but above and under the doors I need to see the floor and wall of the original photo. How do I do that? Thank you for helping me here.
  11. Yes, thank you, that helps a lot. What is the difference between an Image Layer and a Pixel Layer?
  12. on the left you see the tutorial, on the right you see my photo. I clicked on the inpainting brush to delete the black in the middle. But I don't have the orange color while painting as on the example. Sometimes when first switching to an other knob and then going back to inpainting brush, it works. I have Affinity Photo 1.3.5 Am I doing something wrong?
  13. Tutorial is not with the cloon tool but with the inpainting brush tool. Maybe there are several ways to get the result.
  14. Indeed, I did it wrong. The tutorial is what I needed. Thank you for all your help! Luc
  15. The result is good, but (at the right) I don't have what you have, I mean the patch. What did I do wrong?
  16. That is perfect!!! I'll follow your instructions. Now the lower part of the roof... Thank you a lot!
  17. I want to clean up the dust on the roof caused by the chimney.
