Hi joe_l, I have completely re-integrated the PDF file into my Affinity Publisher file, then the error disappeared. So I would guess that it has something to do with the conversion in the IDML. ____________________________________________________________ Hallo joe_l, ich habe die PDF-Datei nochmal komplett neu in meine Affinity Publisher Datei eingebunden, dann ist der Fehler verschwunden. Hello Old Bruce, thanks for the info again, I've been working with the Publisher and the text styles for quite some time and so far I'm very satisfied with the "APub..." except for some unsolved problems which will be fixed one after the other with the further updates. But it should be possible to continue the text frame with the same attributes as in InDesign without having to set the attributes again or select text styles again, I think that is very inconvenient. Perhaps I have overlooked a setting that must be made to achieve this. I hope for a solution and thank you for the help and info I have received so far. Thanks - Greetings! Es sollte aber möglich sein den Textrahmen mit den gleichen Attributen weiterzuführen zu können wie in InDesign ohne nochmals die Attribute neu einzustellen oder wieder Textstile auszuwählen, das halte ich für sehr umständlich. Vielleicht habe ich ja eine Einstellung übersehen die gemacht werden muss um dieses zu erreichen. Ich hoffe auf eine Lösung und bedanke mich schonmal für die Hilfe und Info`s die ich bisher bekommen habe. Danke - Gruß! Gonzo

Hi Old Bruce, that would work if I don't want to keep the font size etc, because after reset the attributes are set to default. Normal would be if I continued the text in another text frame and kept the text attributes. Thanks - Greetings! Thanks for the quick feedback, unfortunately this doesn't help me, as the error seems to occur only after importing an IDML file. With a newly created document it works fine. Here times the Test.idml ( the IDML file was created with an InDesign CS 5.5) so that one can reproduce the error. Thanks - Greetings! Hallo, vielen Dank das das Problem noch aufgegriffen wurde. Ich wüsste jetzt nicht was ich in diesem Fall falsch machen könnte. Habe mal ein kurzes Video erstellt. Sollte es jedoch notwendig sein die IDML-Datei zu prüfen, würde ich sie gerne nicht öffentlich schicken auch wenn es sich um eine Testdatei handelt. Gruß! Hello, Here are two files open in Affinity Publisher. Once the file "File-1.afpub" and the file "File-2.afpub". In "File-1." I imported a PDF and embedded it in the document. The "File-2." is empty for now. Now I copied the PDF file via the clipboard into the "File-2." and embedded it as well. By double-clicking on the PDF, the file is opened in Affinity Publisher and you can edit it. Now I have deleted the hammer. If you now switch to "File-1.", you can see that the hammer has disappeared there, too. I have now noticed that this behavior is not only after importing IDML formats, but also with files directly from Affinity Publisher. but also with files that were created directly by Affinity. According to my observation, the behavior does not occur when positioning the PDF files via Place. Greetings! Einmal die Datei "Datei-1.afpub" und die Datei "Datei-2.afpub" In "Datei-1." habe ich eine PDF importiert und im Dokument eingebettet. Die "Datei-2." ist erst einmal leer. Jetzt habe ich die PDF-Datei über die Zwischenablage in die "Datei-2" kopiert und ebenfalls eingebettet. Durch einen Doppel-Klick auf die PDF wird die Datei in Affinity Publisher geöffnet und man kann sie bearbeiten. Jetzt habe ich den Hammer gelöscht. Wenn man jetzt zur "Datei-1." wechselt, sieht man das auch dort der Hammer verschwunden ist. Habe jetzt festgestellt das dieses Verhalten nicht nur nach dem importieren von IDML-Formaten festzustellen ist sondern auch bei Dateien die direkt von Affinity erstellt wurden. Das Verhalten kommt nach meiner Beobachtung nicht vor wenn man die PDF-Dateien über Platzieren positioniert. Gruß! Gonzo

Hello, after importing an IDML - Changed graphic updates in all documents !! Unfortunately I had to notice that if you change a PDF in the Publisher (so by double - click) which was previously embedded also changes in the other documents where it was included and embedded, but what should not be at all !!!! This behavior I have also found in the latest beta version. _______________________________________________________________ Hallo, leider musste ich feststellen das wenn man im Publisher eine PDF ändert (also durch Doppel - Klick) die vorher eingebettet wurde sich auch in den anderen Dokumenten ändert, wo sie enthalten und eingebettet wurde, was aber überhaupt nicht sein dürfte !!! Dieses Verhalten habe ich auch in der neusten Beta-Version festgestellt. Gruß! Gonzo

Hallo, yes, of course you can also set this in the Paragraph panel but this is not the right way in my opinion. It should be possible to copy a table from an Affinity Publisher file into an IDML converted to Affinity Publisher without changing the format and without additional settings. ----------------------------------- ja man kann natürlich das auch im Absatz-Panel einstellen aber das ist meiner Meinung nicht der richtige Weg. Es sollte doch möglich sein eine Tabelle aus einer Affinity Publisher Datei in eine zu Affinity Publisher konvertierte IDML zu kopieren, ohne das sich das Format verändert und ohne zusätzliche Einstellungen. Hallo, have encountered a problem after importing an IDML file with tables and baseline grid: After importing an IDML file, I pasted a table from an Affinity Publisher file into the imported converted IDML file via the clipboard. The display is incorrect in that the rows and contents shift. If now the baseline grid is switched off the problem is gone. But I think that the fix is not supposed to be like this or ? habe ein Problem festgestellt nach Import einer IDML-Datei mit Tabellen und Grundlinienraster: Nach Import einer IDML-Datei habe ich eine Tabelle aus einer Affinity Publisher Datei über die Zwischenablage in die importierte konvertierte IDML-Datei eingefügt. Die Darstellung ist insoweit fehlerhaft das sich die Zeilen und Inhalte verschieben. Wenn jetzt das Grundlinienraster ausgeschaltet wird ist das Problem verschwunden. In the context the question arises, can one save global colors also as program palette, so far the global colors are offered only as document palette. Hallo, Version 1.9.2x I have a question about tables: I have 30 tables where the row (fill color) of the headings "color field" is black 10%, now I want to change the color to black 30% fill color. Do I have to edit each table individually or is there a way to change the color for all tables at once ? habe mal eine Frage zu Tabellen: Ich habe 30 Tabellen wobei die Zeile (Füllfarbe) der Überschriften "Farbfeld" schwarz 10 % ist, nun möchte ich die Farbe auf schwarz 30 % Füllfarbe ändern. Muss ich jede Tabelle einzeln bearbeiten oder gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Farbe für alle Tabellen auf einmal zu ändern ? Gruß! Gonzo

When trying to link text frames, the transferred text is displayed too small, under Windows 10 as well as MAC. I have tried it with the pagination as described above by you, thereby I came across two peculiarities. / Habe es mit dem Umbruch wie oben von Ihnen beschrieben ausprobiert, dabei bin ich auf zwei Eigenarten gestossen. 1. text runs over bounding box ? / Text läuft über Begrenzungsrahmen ? Hallo, yes it's a bit difficult to explain but I'll try again anyway. My table of contents is on page 1 with no line break. My line should only break in the table of contents but not on the page where the actual heading is. e.g. on page 3 the headline is: "I work very a lot with Affinity Publisher". Now the headline in the table of contents should be wrapped behind "very" but only in the table of contents not visible on page 3. i.e. The headline on page 3 does not look like this: "I work very a lot with Affinity Publisher" but still like here: "I work very a lot with Affinity Publisher". This is an invisible pagination. This can be achieved in InDesign by placing the cursor behind the word "very", selecting the command "Insert Wrap Character" and then selecting the command "Hard Line Break". This is the function I am looking for in Affinity Publisher ? I hope it was a bit more understandable. ________________________________________________________________ ja es ist etwas schwierig zu erklären aber ich versuche es dennoch nochmal. Mein Inhaltsverzeichnis ist auf Seite 1 ohne Umbruch der Zeile. Meine Zeile sollte nur im Inhaltsverzeichnis umgebrochen werden aber nicht auf der Seite wo die eigentliche Überschrift steht. z.B. auf Seite 3 steht als Überschrift: "Ich arbeite sehr viel mit Affinity Publisher" Jetzt soll die Überschrift im Inhaltsverzeichnis hinter "sehr" umgebrochen werden aber nur im Inhaltsverzeichnis nicht sichtbar auf Seite 3. d.H. Die Überschrift auf Seite 3 sieht nicht so aus: "Ich arbeite sehr viel mit Affinity Publisher" sondern immer noch so: "Ich arbeite sehr viel mit Affinity Publisher" Es handelt sich hier um einen unsichtbaren Umbruch. Dies erreicht man in InDesign indem man den Curser hinter das Wort "sehr" stellt den Befehl "Umbruchzeichen einfügen" dann den Befehl "Harter Zeilenumbruch" ausführt. Diese Funktion suche ich in Affinity Publisher ? Ich hoffe es war etwas verständlicher. Gruß! Gonzo

In InDesign this works in the actual text with "Insert break character -> Hard line break". Hallo, I have now discovered the following solution to the problems. To the problem 1. - Table of contents, swapped entries in "AFP": This can be solved if you work with text sections by sorting the levels in reverse order to the entries of the page. About problem 2 - Table of contents, unselected sections are displayed in the exposed PDF: I opened the text section with an editor and pasted it again without formatting in "AFP", assigned the paragraph formatting. Now they had also disappeared in the PDF. These two solutions are not elegant but it worked. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Folgende Lösung zu den Problemen habe ich jetzt entdeckt. Zum Problem 1. - Inhaltsverzeichnis, vertauschte Einträge in "AFP": Dies kann man lösen wenn man mit Textabschnitten arbeitet indem man die Ebenen umgekehrt zu den Einträgen der Seite sortiert. Zum Problem 2. - Inhaltsverzeichnis, nicht ausgewählte Abschnitte werden in der exponierten PDF angezeigt: Den Textabschnitt habe ich mit einem Editor geöffnet und nochmal ohne Formatierung in "AFP" eingefügt, die Absatzformatierungen zugewiesen. Jetzt waren sie auch in der PDF verschwunden. Diese beiden Lösungen sind nicht elegant aber es funktionierte. Gruß! Gonzo

Hallo, Version 1.9x: When creating a table of contents with multiple levels, the entries are swapped and are in the wrong order. Furthermore, text sections are taken over in the table of contents that were not selected via the paragraph formatting for the table of contents (only visible after PDF export). Is there a way to change the order of the table of contents so that you can to continue your work ? _________________________________________________ Beim erstellen eines Inhaltsverzeichnis mit mehreren Ebenen werden die Einträge vertauscht und stehen in falscher Reihenfolge. Des Weiteren werden im Inhaltsverzeichnis Textabschnitte übernommen die nicht über die Absatzformatierung für das Inhaltsverzeichnis ausgewählt wurden (Nur sichtbar nach PDF-Export). Kann man irgendwie die Reihenfolge im Inhaltsverzeichnis nachträglich bearbeiten damit man seine Arbeit fortführen kann ? Gruß! Gonzo

Hallo, ich versuche eine Grafik im PDF-Format im Assets abzulegen leider ohne Erfolg. Hier kommt die Meldung "Assets können keine eingebettete Dokumente enthalten" ?. Die PDF-Grafik ist unter der Ressourcen-Verwaltung verknüpft. Verstehe ich da etwas falsch ? Gruß! Gonzo
