this is still an issue. -
I've tried all the alignment options and none work to align an object within another shape. Align to selection bounds seems to make the most sense for this to work yet it wants to align the object to the page rather than the object. I found I can align it by hand but I really should be able to use the alignment tools for such an easy task. I hope I've just overlooked an option.
