I'm using Publisher 1.10 and I get the same message when I try to place and excel xlsx file: file not supported. I end up having to copy and then paste each individual cell.

Thank you for all your thoughts and ideas. I experimented some more and it seems that when I drag the asset onto another document the value of the effect changes. It's no problem to adjust it but I think Iconclast was right about assets not behaving well with effects.

I created a rectangle with emboss effects and dragged it into my asset library. When I drag the rectangle into another document, the effects seem to have doubled in strength. Does anyone have any idea what is happening.
