  1. Hi Walt, Thank you for your quick reply. However, creating multiple instances is what I do now, but not (that) practical. Unfortunately, if I place EPS or AI files that are saved without a profile I run into other problems, like vectors getting rasterized when outputting to various PDF versions. Like others coming from Adobe, I am still struggling with the different philosophy behind Affinity at one point or another, so I am hoping I just did not find the best way to handle this use case yet. Best, zot
  2. Dear forum, I would like to ask how to best achieve the following goal: A vector only file as a "master" to be re-used in Publisher for different rendering outputs (e.g. offset vs newspaper printing). Colors may be 100 percent black or 100/60/0/0. What I would expect is to create an afdesign file to be placed in afpub and have the rendering intent applied there document-wide. This would regard GCR/UCR, gamma and the like and apply this to the linked logo. But I seem not to be able to save an afdesign file without a color profile. Surely I could copy the logo and place it as a group in Publisher, but I prefer having a "master" file I can link for different use cases. But maybe I just don’t see the wood for the trees … System specs fyi: macOS 12.2.1 Affinity Publisher 1.10.4 Affinity Photo 1.10.4 Affinity Designer 1.10.4 Best, zot
  3. Dear community, hello, and I would like to chime in on the 1 bit topic. To achieve greyscales or colors in offset printing, you must use a matrix of 16 by 16 dots to simulate half tones. So colored output has a resolution of at most 1/16th of the possible resolution of the output device. Of course, this also applies to the 100 percent part of mixed colors (like a 100/56.5/0/0 blue in CMYB model). With a 1 bit image being colorized in Publisher or Designer, the cyan part of the image would be processed with the full resolution. IMHO this task should have a high priority, since it is essential for professional output of pixel images.
