  1. Thanks. I wasn't sure where to put it being new to focus merge; was it me or a bug.
  2. In the Sources Window for the Focus Merge, the Toggle Sources Preview eye does not toggle between grey and white (i.e. preview off and preview on). While AP does functionally toggle between preview on and preview off on source images, the eye is always white, never grey. This makes it difficult to know if I'm in preview mode or not on a source image. This also occurred with the previous version of AP. Windows 11, Surface Pro 8, Affinity Photo ver 2.2 Thanks Gary
  3. Thanks, I didn't notice the opacity was zero in the color panel. That really helps. BTW the 'colorless' new fill layer in V1 and V2.
  4. While working on an image in affinity photo I came to a point where the 'new fill layer' layer menu option would add a new fill layer but without color and the fill color could not be changed. It seems this occurs when the last operation prior to adding the new fill layer is drawing a geometric shape with transparent fill. I don't know but perhaps this happens when other shapes are drawn with transparent fill too. The work around is to either (1) add another geometric shape with non-transparent fill before adding the new fill layer or (2) after adding the new fill layer change the fill type to 'none' then to the desired fill type after which a color(s) can be selected. Is there a better way to avoid adding a colorless fill layer?
  5. Hi RainerH, Today I was beating my head on the same problem you have, but when making a SVG file for use in a Cricut machine. When exporting an artboard a rectangle was also included in the SVG file. However, the top edge of the rectangle cut through the center of the graphic. And the Cricut followed instructions, cut the rectangle so cutting the graphic in half. My simple graphic (a coffee cup and saucer) was merged into a single 'curve' layer in the artboard. If the 'Area' in the export window was 'artboard' or 'selected area' the rectangle was included in the SVG. The rectangle appears in the cricut software and Designer shows the rectangle layer also in the SVG file when opened. However, if I first selected the curve layer in the layers panel, then picked 'selection only' for the Area in the export window, the SVG file did not include a rectangle. It seems to be repeatable but I'll need more than one artboard to test further. I could not find a way to make a non-rectangled SVG through the Export persona. Windows 11, Designer version 1.10.4.1198
  6. Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion to Reapply Text Styles to the table (or a cell) puts things back to what is expected. Attached is the afpub file. In this file I'm teaching myself how to create my own text styles and table styles so don't mind the gibberish of the text. On the 2nd page are the 2 tables shown in the original post. I feel this is like going to an auto repair shop for a car problem, only have the car run great when you get there. Unless I'm going crazy today applying my table format to new table is working (tried it on two computers). I've banged my head on this for a few days before posting here. Why it's working now I don't know, but the attached file shows what I was running into. So any ideas what I might be doing wrong is still appreciated. My Styles template.afpub
  7. In Affinity Publisher 1.9 I created a table format with borders, shading, and fonts that point to Text Styles. Without closing the document after designing the table format, applying the format to a new table works as expected, i.e. results in the same table format. However, after the document is close then reopened, there is a font problem. When the table format is applied to a new table, the cell fonts are "bolded", (sometimes a 2pt stroke is also added to the characters in all the cells). Below shows the table format as designed and as applied to new table. FYI, design format settings are: outside border is 2 pts, column header bottom border 1.5 pt, and other borders 0.5 pt. Font Arial, bold for column headers, normal for table body. Any ideas how to fix this? Gary
  8. I just installed Affinity photo (Windows desktop) 1.7.2.471 on my HP desktop and on a Surface Pro 4. Upon setting up the RGB color preference I discovered that on the HP, there are 19 color profile options which includes ProPhoto RGB. While on the Surface there are just 9 color profile options and the ProPhoto RGB profile is not included. Is this to be expected? How do I get ProPhoto RGB on the Surface?
