  1. Looks like Affinity team was listening! Thanks guys!! :)
  2. Hello, I totally agree on this. I've been using Illustrator since version 6 (released in 1996), where this was already good. Like misc33 said, this is pretty basic stuff that should have been nailed from the start. I also cannot work with complex vectors in Affinity Designer for this reason alone. As soon as your work is done for beta 1.5, I hope you set this (and all other possible features for a pen tool) as your topmost priority. Here, some inspiration from Adobe XD's new pen tool. :) Thank you very much guys, Philippe Côté
  3. Hello MEB, Any further news on this? Right now, I'm having this trouble too. Being unable to simply select then delete an unwanted segment is beyond me. Thank you, Philippe
  4. Here is a Sketch tool that let you design using something very similar to Auto-Layout: https://github.com/matt-curtis/Fluid-for-Sketch
  5. That's very good news! For now, I'll just wait for Artboards and Symbols... hehehe... ;)
  6. Hello guys, Do you have any plans to do like Adobe and go the UI design + Prototyping way? http://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/introducing-project-comet-a-new-tool-for-designing-and-prototyping-user-experiences/ Although Adobe is clearly looking in Sketch's way by doing this, bringing prototyping directly inside UI design is a very nice approach. This looks like something that Affinity Designer could eventually do. Or maybe Affinity Publisher... or both. What are your impressions?
  7. Hello, I was looking for a way to export slices to individual folders in one shot. Is there a way to do this like in Sketch? Like naming layers like this: FolderName/LayerName Thank you, Philippe
  8. Hello, I think Affinity Designer should go further than just replicate Illustrator's features. Why not be the first real tool to let us design for multiple screen size at the same time on one single artboard? Design these days occur on platforms that may have multiple screen sizes. For example, Xcode takes this in consideration thanks to Auto-Layout and GSS (Grid Style Sheets), which makes this easier to design for the web. Maybe Affinity Designer could let us export our designs directly into Xcode compatible .storyboard files? Please create this dream tool! ^_^ Thanks! Philippe Côté
  9. Hello MEB, Any indications as of when this feature will make it? I'm currently using Sketch but find it very buggy and waiting for this feature (and some others like multiple Artboards and Measure indicators) to consider jumping ship. Thank you! Phil
  10. I think you guys should concentrate on making AD and AP the best you can instead of adding these kind of features. Maybe you could add options to easily export to, say, Hype 3, which is a great HTML5 animation tool. Phil
  11. I totally agree on this one! Holding Option/Alt to measure would be very useful! :) Phil
  12. Hello Alex, Yes, I've managed to get the same results by using Phase as well after posting this message. The ultimate reason is that I want to have this working flawlessly on rounded rectangles. Try it, you'll see it's much more difficult to get the right results. :) Thank you for your answer! Phil
  13. Hello Affinity, I just updated to version 1.2 (congratulations, it's a nice update!). I've tried to use dashed lines but couldn't achieve the exact same result as in Illustrator when using this on closed shapes. I've tried to create a shape like this but couldn't. What I must check in Illustrator to achieve this result is this: Any plan to include such an option in the near future? It would be very nice is this could be applied to rounded shapes as well (doesn't work very well with rounded shapes in Illustrator). Thank you very much! ^_^ Philippe Côté
