  1. I've watched a few tutorials on the compound masks and I understand the boolean principles involved but what I am finding difficult to grasp is when it is advantageous to use them. Can somebody give me a reasonably straightforward explanation please.
  2. Is there any way I can temporarily hide the 'marching ants' outline on a selection I have made, make some mods and then return to the 'marching ants'? I was always able to do this in Pshop by using command H.
  3. After setting a line of Art Type I distorted it by condensing it using the move tool. All subsequent typefaces I select to use are having the same distortion applied to them and I can't stop it happening. What am I missing?
  4. I recently bought Photo and Designer and downloaded them for both my iMac and laptop. I'm replacing my iMac soon (with another iMac). Will I be able to download the programs again to install on the new Mac?
  5. Is there any chance of mesh distortion in Designer? I'm particularly thinking of type distortion which isn't converted to curves so it would be possible to change the typeface after distortion.
