just wait, it is not yet fixed but should be soon. fixed only in beta. for frequency separatuon you can use median blur which works ok. using beta version is an option too. -
corrupted file to fix

im uploading. i just did all the editing and it was fine. last thing was to export jpg and save. the problem is i saved it on usb drive. later opened on another computer and it was corrupted. i was editing on mac mini, later opened on windows pc. i could also after exporting be opening the file to copy some adjustements. @Callum -

Hi, i got corrupted file to fix. can i get the link to upload it to fix - client shoot so i dont want to attach it here. -
i was only checking auto clean, i assume it work similar without auto clean. will check. i have run benchmark on affinity trial on mac and it looks that mac cpu is about 10x faster and mac gpu is 100x faster then my windows laptop. so maybe my laptop is that slow.

the way it works now seems to be good. but there is problem - it is so slow it not usable. few strokes and i have to wait a minute before it is executed. i was trying on windows laptop i7-10510u, intel mx250 gpu. it works even worse with enabled hardware acceleration. i would try on mac mini m2 but i dont have a license on mac, waiting for some discounts.

does primary/secondary colors make effect for mixer brush? i have seen some video explaning mixer brush in photoshop and there if primary color is white then mixer brush favours bright colors, if black then dark colors. im asking as mixer brush seems to be improved soon and finally be good to use

this could be the best thing in whole version 2, but need to see how it works. im so close to switching to photoshop to be able to use mixer brush in their way

changing fill value with some shortcut please please please. like opacity when type numbers. maybe with some alter key numbers could change fill instead opacity.

im also windows user, i hate mac os. but now i work on mac. yes, on live gaussian filter i dont see any problem. also frequency separation with median blur works fine. -
when using frequency separation, low frequency with gaussian blur looks not correct. there are some artifacts - colorful stripes. they are not on whole image, only on part. it is the same when just applying filter gaussian blur to layer. live filter don't have this problem

new interface is way worse then it used to be. current tool is show in a way that is very hard to read. dark grey rectangle on not much different dark grey background. also new colourful icons are hard to read less meaningful, previous were more simple and easy to understand. 20230122_192032.heic

well with you being so busy my expectations for new release is huge im always with newest version of everyhing. ios, affinity. it was like that every single time every image. although i use big resolution files - above 50mp. if i remember corectly i have found some way to make it work faster. i think extending backround on fresh open psd without any other layer work faster.

i have switched to left hand mode to avoid covering my screen with right hand when setting brush size. now there is a problem with top bar. you can set some settings of a tool there. often there is more settings then can fit there so you have to scroll left/right. scrolling doesnt work on left hand mode. it worked on right hand mode.

it seems paint mixer brush flow setting doesnt work. 1% flow looks the same as 100% - so very strong effect.

i remove multiple imperfections from background with patch tool. after dozen of quick attempts program crashes and i have to start over. i did that like five times and each time it crashes and im keep starting over.

it works the same as v1. even closed docs still stays in that sandbox forever, or until some special event clears them (removing app in example). picture shows location of those temp files

when you open a file in affinity on ipad it creates a copy of file that you work on. you can see in ipad settings how much size they take. it keeps growing while using app. i dont know any other way then removing app to clean that space. i couldnt imagine they dont fix it in v2

closed files still takes storage space. some temp files in sandbox. cant find a way to clean them. after they take all space they f*ckup current open files and all work is lost.
