  1. @walt.farrell, Thanks for that. Never heard of such a thing, and it had always worked before . . . And guess what does work:
  2. @walt.farrell, THIS time, I ran the previous version and let it upgrade itself. Then I went to the folder where Designer.exe is, right-click-n-dragged it onto my desktop, and chose Create Shortcut Here. If I were to re-install it (which I have done numerous times for the previous version), I would use the .MSIX download to reinstall it.
  3. @walt.farrell, I create a new shortcut every time a new version is installed.
  4. @Sean P, I downloaded Beta 2449 and I have new info for you. I don't know if this was the case with previous versions, but my problem at this point is that the app will not run if I try to start it from a desktop shortcut. I have always started it like that before, but I guess that stopped working with 2.5. Anyway, it will run normally if I start it from the Windows Start menu. It just won't start from a desktop shortcut. Is that something?
  5. @Sean P, Well, poop. Just in case, I just uploaded my AffinityFonts folder.
  6. @Sean P, I can't get it to create a crash report. I got the installer for the beta .2430. It also refuses to run after one successful start, but I noticed one difference, which does relate to fonts. With .2415, the font that says "support your" was displayed in a generic way and a message box said the font (Vinay Solid) was missing. In .2430, it is shown correctly. I installed .2415 again to show the difference, but it will not run at all, now. It did create crash reports, which I have attached. A zip of my fonts folder is uploading. It's at 71% with 12 minutes to go . . . . CrashReports.zip
  7. @Sean P, I forgot to answer one of your questions. I have 486 font files in my Windows fonts directory.
  8. @Sean P, I just uploaded a zip of the ...\Common\2.0 (Beta) folder. 2.0 (Beta) - AFTER THE RESET.zip
  9. Howdy, @Sean P. 1. It has not asked me to sign in. 2. Zip of ...\Common\2.0 (Beta) uploaded. I removed the three highlighted files from the user folder to make the file smaller. Let me know if you need those. I can make more coffee. 3. I did the ctrl+start of the app and reset everything. Logged in, clicked "not now" and it still misbehaves the same way. On another note, it did NOT clear the ...\Designer\2.0 (Beta) folder. It still has that crash report from April 29th in there.
  10. @EmT, yes, 2.4.2 runs perfectly well. I did not save the installer for the previous version, but it did run fine.
  11. @EmT, I followed your instructions and created a 20MB file that would have taken all day to upload with my country-boy internet connection. So I cleared the log and started over with a new install of Designer Beta (DB). It didn't generate any events in the log. I reinstalled again, and got in the DB app and played around a little bit. In Preferences, under Beta, I told it to reset the app and it crashed, which did create an event. It also created a crash report, which I have uploaded to the dropbox area you provided (9e1ace97-b6b1-4eec-bbb8-e9746d4da377.dmp).
  12. Okay, this is very strange. It will work once. After I exit the program, it won't start again. Renaming the 2.0 (Beta) folder doesn't fix it without a reinstall. Then it will run one time only.
