  1. I have created a phone mockup, and placed it into my file. I now want multiple duplicates of my mockup in my file, but change them up a little. Is there a way to duplicated this embedded file without all duplicates referring to the same embedded file? I cannot unembed it because I use it to replace the screen of the mockup. I cannot place it again because I made changes to the mockup for it to better fit in the context of my file. How can I duplicate it without it pointing to the same "embedded file"? Many thanks in advance!
  2. I see ... thanks for letting me know! I am glad to hear I did everything correctly I guess I will make do with the boolean operations in the meanwhile then!
  3. Hello there! I am currently trying to resize an existing artboard to an exact value using the transform panel, however I can't get the textframes to scale with the artboard, rather than just changing the frame size. When I use the "scale handle" and "manually" resize the artboard, it works just fine. How would I go about doing it with the transform panel? I have this question also over on stackexchange: https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/120555/affinity-designer-how-do-i-make-textframes-scale-with-the-artboard-if-i-scale-b Also attached you should find a gif demonstrating the issue I am facing.
  4. Hi there! I would like to know if there maybe is a way to quickly toggle the transparency grid in affinity designer? I know that you can activate it by going into "document setup" > "colour" > "transparent background" In Illustrator I was used to being able to quickly toggle it on or off by using the shortcut "cmd / strg + shift + d". Is this also possible in Affinity Designer somehow? You can also find this question over on stackexchange: https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/120564/toggle-transparency-grid-in-affinity-designer Thanks in advance! PS: I am new to the forum (and forums in general), so please let me know if I somehow have posted this wrongly in any way.
  5. Is there an equivalent to Adobe Illustrator's shaper tool I can use to quickly cut off excess elements of overlapping shapes? In Illustrator, once accessed using the shortcut shift + m, it can be used to quickly cut and combine selected shapes. (I have attached a video demonstrating the feature) Since this tool was pretty handy in quickly creating new shapes out of a bunch of others, it would be stoked to learn if something similar exists within Affinity Designer! Thanks in advance. PS: I am new to the forum and forums in general, so let me know if I may have posted this the wrong way Shaper Tool Demonstration.mov
