Affinity Designer PSD export for import in motion

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I want to work in motion with PSD-Layers created in affinity designer (also photo). When I export from designer as multi-layer .psd with final cut pro x option, I can't open the file in motion. Motion shows the message (codec not supported). Same happens when I open the file in Affinity Photo, export from there and try to import from motiont.

I'm working with Mojave 10.14.6, Designer and Photo 1.7.2, Motion 5.4.3, all should be up to date. I'm not working with adobe photoshop.

I tried to find some hints on that issue in advance, but couldn't find. Is there a solution for this problem? Can anyone help me out on that?

The file that you are trying to import into Apple Motion may be in the CMYK color space. Usually Motion will import it, but it will not be visible.

Convert your file to RGB color space in Designer or Photo first then export as RGB.

Hope this helps
