Creating Depth in Affinity Design

Hi All,

Here is a basic question.  In Affinity Design how do you create the bezel in the picture below?  I want to give the impression of the step change in depth but as I am new to this I am finding it difficult to come close to the desired effect.

Hello RayA,

If I understood your question correctly, you can apply a "3D" fx.

I put a screenshot with the parameters I used to give the effect, you can modify these to adjust the effect to your taste.

Thanks for the screenshot, showing the modelling of depth effect, and settings.  I will give it a go.
