What's the fastest way to create a new color palette?

I'm trying to build up several new palettes for the projects I'll be working on.  I've more or less figured out how to add colors to my palettes, however I'm finding that for what I'm trying to do the process seems a bit slow.  Open the menu, add global color, ctrl + a or click/drag highlight to remove pregen name text, tab 4 times over to the hex field, input hex, enter, enter.  Is there a better way to do this?
