Hi, I tried to move an Affinity designer Layer from one document to a new one in Affinity Designer, I used my fingers to drag it out (like I would using Procreate) and it partially moved and then got completely stuck in the middle of the screen of every document in my Gallery. It's really distracting and I want to get rid of this layer.

I have attached a photo below showing the floating layer which seems to be glued to the screen.

The original layer I discovered was locked so maybe this is why this happened, but regardless I still cannot get delete this floating layer or move it back. I unlocked the layers after to see if this made any difference so I could delete it, but this did nothing.

Can anyone here who has more experience than me (I'm a newbie) please help me.

So, I had to give this a try, because I didn’t think you could drag layers between documents in Designer like you can in Procreate…sure enough, the same thing happened to me! Have you tried force closing the app? That did the trick for me. Also, in Designer, you can use the Quick Menu or Edit Menu to copy and paste layers between documents (works for multiple layers at a time and groups!) You can even copy layers from Procreate into Designer (although the reverse doesn’t seem to work). Hope that helps!
