Lutz Klein Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I encountered a quirk while installing Affinity Photo 2.0.3 on Windows 10 pro AME. (In case you don't know AME - it's a repackaged version of Windows, basically Windows with anything Microsoft removed - Egde, Telemetry, Advertising... check it out, it's beautiful --- and yes, I understand, it might be the cause of the issue, and you don't have to support this) So I downloaded the file and launched the installer, clicked "install", and nothing happened (Pic 1). After a minute, the dialog disappeared. I tried re-downloading, same result. System Monitor shows no activity, no files written. I tried manually extracting the archive, AP2 launched fine and worked, but the brushes, templates and other things were missing. So I looked at the files, and found there were %20 encodings in the place of spaces in the file and folder names (Pic 2). I replaced them back to spaces, and now AP2 seems to find everything. So this is fixed for me. I'm providing this information so it might help track down a bug or something. Quote
