Missing fonts in Affinity designer for iPad v2

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I am new to Affinity products and am hoping someone here will be able to help me. I decided to try out the whole Affinity suite due to the v2 launch deal and saw that as an occasion to make jump from Adobe after 15 years so I don’t have any prior Affinity knowledge. I managed to find answers to all the other things I didn’t get right away online but I can’t seem to understand how to find know what fonts I am missing.

Someone sent me an AI file, I was afraid it wouldn’t work but no problem opening it but I know the fonts are not right because I saw the final product. However, I did not not get a pop up upon opening with a list of the missing fonts and I do not know where to find one. I tried to look online but nothing I read or watched helped. Please note that I am an absolute complete beginner in Affinity. Like had to google how to resize an image beginner level so screenshots would be appreciated if possible because I barely know the names of the icons!

Thanks in advance and looking forward to be part of the community!

Thank you so much! I couldn’t find a font manager in designer but I guess it makes sense if it’s only in publisher. This works much better than my initial solution which was opening the file in illustrator and seeing which fonts were used. Works while my subscription is still on but kinda defeats the purpose of trying to move over to Affinity. Thanks a lot for the screenshots too! I don’t know where everything is yet and it’s even worse on the iPad where you only get icons with no names. I would have had no idea of where to find the resource manager otherwise but I’ll remember now!

Have a nice rest of the day!

Just as an added bonus…. If you open and use Publisher, can work on your document and switch the Personas to either Designer or Photo (and design using Tools and such) and continue working, without switching/closing/opening apps.
