Moving a selection crashes the program

Recommended Posts

When I select part of a pixel image and then try to move it, Affinity Photo crashes. It seems to work for a little bit. I've had some success with moving the selection just a tiny bit, but it seems like if it goes far enough that's what causes the crash. (video attached) At first it was happening every time I tried to move something whether by clicking and dragging or nudging with the arrows keys. But of course as soon as I tried to record the video it worked a couple of times. 😅 Now it seems to be happening consistently again so maybe it comes in cycles? *shrug*. Also apparently the video didn't capture the "program is not responding" dialogue.

I've reproduced this issue on two different machines, one is a Lenovo Ideapad 3 (i5 12GB RAM) and the other is a home-build Ryzen 1700 w/16GB Ram.

tried a CTRL start and cleared out all the settings, tried with various types of files, restarted the computer without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ah crap. Sorry everyone. I just realized that this is a pretty egregious double post. There was already a thread about this which I had even posted in. I am ashamed 😫(unfortunately Running as an administrator was clearly not a long-term solution. Program is still running that way.)
