Daniel Nica Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Hello! I've recently started using Affinity Photo and I'm having a blast with it! I've tried adapting some of my Photoshop workflow into it (since I've been using it for years at this point) and in certain regards it got rather annoying since I couldn't figure out stuff. To give as much details as possible: I post pictures on Instragram with white borders on every side and I found out a way to keep the size of the borders the same size on each posted imagine, as long as the middle picture itself has the same aspect ratio. In this case I would start with a 1:1 white square project (1080x1080) then just add the imagine over it, the imagine keeping its aspect ratio but being resized to fit the project's resolution. After this I would right click on the added imagine and select "Rasterize", a small panel would appear on the right where I would lower some values in order for it to get smaller in size and perfectly center it. (Ex. I would go from Width 15in to 13in, then recenter the image) I've attached even an example in case I've explained it terribly. In AP the imagine doesn't get resized to fit the project (ss attached), and when I click rasterize, literally nothing happens. Is there any permanent selectable option for the imagine to be resized to fit the project after importing it? Also, is there a similar technique to the one mentioned above? I've tried searching the forum, but I might be missing some key words. Thank you! Quote
Daniel Nica Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) After trying several things out, I figured an easy way to "mimic" the rasterize process from PS and perfectly center it with the exact same results. I still couldn't figure out the automatic resizing. Edited April 28, 2020 by Daniel Nica Quote
