  1. When I attempt to use the eraser tool in Affinity Photo ( not the background eraser tool) I get the tool shape with a "string" dragging a "+" which does the actual erasing. It is impossible to control with any precision as there is a lag in distance and direction. The background eraser erases on contact, as expected. I have attached a diagram of the problematic tool. The circle is the tool size and the idea is to drag the "+" over whatever you want to erase. Imagine the red line is a string (not a rigid stick or rod) that only permits you to drag the +. It is a great challenge and would probably make a good game, but I am having difficulty actually using it. Where have I gone wrong. Eraser tool.afdesign
