  1. When I open a file created to Photoshop 2020 'export layers to files psd or tiff format, I do not see the correct image in Designer or Photo (version, yet if I open the same file in DXO Photo I see the correct results. Also, if I drag a number of pdf files as layers I do not see anything, but if I open the file individually I see the 'correct' image. _0004_red tie.pdf 0003_pink tie.pdf
  2. Hi, I am new to Affinity. When i open file rendered in 3dsmax with an alpha channel, it opens with the background transparent. Disable the transparency does not work because it gets rid of my sky in the image. Affinty is opening my tiff files desconsidering part of the image. In photoshop the sky is there, the alpha chanel is for me to decide what to do with it. What am I missing? How can I properly open a file with an alpha channel in it? Best regards, Fernando Blanco
  3. I have a render from Modo. Affinity Photo reads the alpha and makes the my environment aka background invisible. I have tries targa, png and tiff. Photoshop and gimp both handle the alpha properly. This program is consistent between both my Mac Book Pro and my Windows 10 PC.
  4. Making the transition from PS to AP, but running into an issue of tiffs that have a saved channel we use for selection. We typically mask out parts of our images that need color correction. We make our mask and save the selection to a channel that can later be recalled to be tweaked later. In this example we have a channel called "wall" in photoshop. Opening this image up in AP gets me an unexpected result. I would expect to see the added channel in AP that I could turn into a selection as we do in photoshop. These images are placed inside a InDesign document saved as a PDF for print. Why am I getting this result and how can I avoid this without reworking thousands of high res Images that I have already have saved selection channels saved into them? If my final image has to in tiff format, I want to avoid the tiff hack of saving layers or native app formats. Is AP mishandling the channels coming from photoshop? I can however, take an image and make a selection in AP save the selection as a spare channel, save it as a tiff and reopen it in AP without any issue. Coming from photoshop, it seem not to work the same. Here is what I am seeing: I expect to see this: Attached in the Tiff file that contains the "wall" channel. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kich7uu71cmi96v/FlowerCanvas.tif?dl=0
  5. Hi, I'm having an issue that I can't seem to figure out. I'm a new user and I purchased this software based on the price and how great it looked but I'm started to hit a big problem and regretting ditching my Photoshop subscription. I use Photo in a game development pipeline and I'm having a hard time packing my textures into channels within a document. Whenever I load a texture map in to the alpha channel of my document it makes everything transparent. Is there some setting to stop this from happening? If not I think I'll have to get a refund and go back to that horrible subscription plan Photoshop have
