    I don't know if this is an anomaly or expected behavior. When I "place" an xlsx file the data retrieved is organized as a table, in proper columns and rows. However, the data imported includes rows and columns that are hidden in the xlsx spreadsheet. When I copy and paste from an xlsx spreadsheet, only those rows and columns that are unhidden import, but the data does not respect column integrity and appears to be imported as tab limited text (in some cases with leaders and in other cases with no leaders). Its either of these behaviors the expected response?
