  1. Hi there, n00b warning here! Firstly, I tried hunting around but I'm finding myself a bit cross-eyed trying to figure this out. Admittedly, I am not used to editing programs like this and perhaps naively thought this would be a super simple thing - a little overwhelmed as I'm on a deadline! Asking for your grace & to help a super noob out!!! Just downloaded the program to beautify some bookmarks & art I've made, but no real idea what I'm doing. I'm largely just looking to clean up the writing and background that got screwed up, see photo (just cus people love to comment: please ignore the nature of the image if you don't like Jesus lol just focus on the aesthetics pls & ty!😅). Can anyone walk me through this or point me to some sweet pre-existing beginner resources that would likely deal with this siiimply? Appreciate it!!
  2. Hello everyone! I'm new to the Affinity scene and love it so far. I've been a Lightroom user for years and decided that it's time to put the presets and sliders aside for a while and really take control of my editing. Enter Affinity. The purpose of this thread is to discuss workflows used when editing multiple photos from a photoshoot. I can't seem to figure out a truly effective way to edit 50+ photos without creating a mess. Any pointers, videos, web articles, or books are welcome. Thank you all for the support and I look forward to reading your responses.
  3. I feel like I missing something very obvious, but I have created a document with margins and bleeds. How do I view them?
  4. Hi, I am a beginner at affinity photo and I am trying to create virtual graduated filters using gradients on adjustment layers but I've ran into a problem: Whenever I try and use the gradient tool there is a weird box. Whenever I edit the gradient points it looks normal but when I let go the gradient is only constrained to the box: (Gradient while mouse is editing one of the points) (Gradient while mouse is not editing the points) Is there anyway I can fix this problem so my image can look normal? Thanks, Jayvin
  5. Hello everyone I recently got Affinity designer after years of Illustrator. I love the program but am still getting the hang of it. Can anyone tell me how I can get the curves I want whilst using the pen tool? Just like on Illustrator, I click once with the pen to create a point. I click again to create the next point. The line path from point A to point B has a really wonky curve and is not at all what I want. This mainly happens when I'm drawing clouds or trees. I can't seem to get the perfect line and curves that I want without using the node tool to edit my lines or just using smart mode. Dragging the mouse doesn't help me to get the curves or shape I want either. Is this just the way Affinity works or is there some setting that I am unaware of? i'd really appreciate any advise here! Thanks so much :)
