I am on Windows, Affinity Designer version 1.10.6. 1665 When I am placing a curve inside a shape, such as an Eclipse, the Curve will go inside the Shape. If I do the same thing with a Curve (Curve in a Curve), the child object disappears. (If I were to convert the Eclipse to a curve, it would behave the same way) How do I have the child object (the curve) behave just like if I were to use it with the circle. I make the Curves with the Brush tool in Designer Persona.

Hi Forum! I have a problem: I want to collapse 2 points of a curve, not to one point, but with a distance. I know this function from many 3D programs like Blender or Cinema4D. See Figure 1. Figure 1: Here the problem is shown simplified on a cube--> trapezoid. But this problem is much more general and can be applied to many different shapes! (I know the trapezoid tool!) I always use workarounds for this e.g. 1: I use an auxiliary curve and then align the points and delete the auxiliary object. See Figure 2. Figure 2: Workaround 1: Use helping curve/object (in black). 2: I only work with coordinates. (I do this very unwillingly!!) So here is my question is there a key compination to achieve this? The problem sounds so simple..... AD is such a good program so I can't believe I am the only one with this problem. Thanks for your help!

Could a Save Selection be added. Maybe as a selection layer. Also could a curve to selection be added. These two functions work hand in hand for me. I am always using my curve tool to isolate parts to adjust color or add an effect. I often need to go back into the file to recolor or edit that selection later. I don't what to loose my selection once I worked so hard to isolate a particular part of the image. I would just add a curve layer and leave it at that... but I do not see a way to convert that curve into a section for later edits. As a work-around I am creating a closed curve layer and filling it as my potential selection. I use the selection brush to select my fill to get my selection back. Kind of a long way to get a simple result. ;)
