import the .pdf from Illustrator an add the colours separately to the doc. This worked at my system. I created an .eps from the HKS Creative Toool and converted it in Illustrator to .pdf. It would also work to export from HKS Creative Toool directly to Illustrator and then via .pdf to Affinity

HKS Z and E are rather old systems ... Would be great to get a proper .eps import (showing the spot colours as spot colours) to work directly with the HKS software. Overprint-preview is essential for working with spot colours ... without it you can almost forget working with spot colours and Affinity
