  1. I'm sorry, yes, it's already set that way as an external editor. And that actually is what I'm doing with saving affinity layers, and yet when I open the file again, it appears to be a pixel instead of saving in layers. Perhaps it's a bug, then?
  2. Hi! Thanks for any help. I'm exporting from lightroom as a tiff srbg, 16 bit, 300 resolution.
  3. Hi! I've had a continual problem that seems ridiculously simple to fix, but for some reason, I can't find the information. Basically, I export from lightroom, and edit in affinity. Since the latest patch, affinity (thankfully) automatically reflects any changes I save in the affinity file/window. However, I cannot close the affinity file, or it won't automatically reflect those changes anymore. I can accept that, but here's where I really struggle. Even when I save such a file with "save as" and "with layers", if I open the .afphoto file at a later date, it seems to have removed all my work and layers, and only saved it as a pixel/rasterized image. So it basically ends up being a destructive edit. Is there any solution to this?
  4. I have no idea if I hit the wrong button, but when I have the move arrow selected, it no longer moves my selection. Instead, it always tries to create a new selection (without success). Any clues why this is?
  5. I've noticed when importing a multiple page pdf file, that only the first page is imported. Does anyone know how to import the other pages without exporting each page individually and then importing it back to affinity?
  6. Well, by project file I assume you mean the .afphoto file. It's 1.75 gigs...is that what you mean?
  7. I'm new to affinity, still, and any photomanipulation in general. But I am having a really odd problem where after exporting, not in any other situation (affinity doesn't show any errors in the editor), there are random blocks of white over my image. I've tried exporting multiple times with different types of files, but it always shows up. Any ideas? This image is a composite, obv, and on the left there are two white blocks, one up high, and one low. I've also included the AF's editor's preview so you can see what I thought should come out.
  8. Well, I did finally figure it out. Somehow I'd selected only the blue channel to be editable. Anyway, just in case anyone else runs into this, I thought I'd share. Again, I'm a newb, so it really does help. I also did figure out how to attach files. So if anyone is interested, here's the image I was asking questions about!
  9. Definitely. Sorry. It took some time to figure out how to mac shortcut key screenshot with affinity's conflicting shortcuts, and then how to add files and pictures to this forum...I'm not really one who uses forums too much. ...well, turns out I can't figure it out. No idea how to add attachments to this forum. But this is the clone stamp tool, and when I hover to get a preview of how the stamp will work, you can see what's happening. http://www.poleninjaphotography.com/Privaterandom/n-m5cRjZ/i-6bCK7Lc/A
  10. I'm new to anything photoshop/affinity/photo editing, so I'm pretty sure it's an obvious thing that I'm just not figuring out. Basically, in my image, any time I try to use any brush--from a basic brush to a clone stamp to a dodge or burn, instead of working like it did when I started working on the image, it leaves behind a strange color (yellow) in this case. So, imagine a clone stamp, cloning, but with a crazy color to it instead of being an accurate copy. Does anyone know why this is happening to me?
